Strategic and commercial logistics innovator takes helm of leading Gulf and Southeast expedited solutions provider
AUSTIN, Texas — (March 5, 2018) — The South’s premier parcel carrier, LSO, has named Richard (Dick) Metzler to the position of President and CEO, and member of the board of directors.
Metzler has more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in transportation and logistics. He most recently served as chief marketing officer at Austin-based uShip. At DHL, he oversaw brand management in 52 countries. He also served as CEO of APL Logistics with operations in more than 50 countries. At FedEx, his team launched a home delivery business and oversaw the launch of numerous new products and pricing initiatives.
